Submission Guidelines
The Journal of Applied and Integrative Biology accepts original research articles, reviews, short communications, technical reports, and perspective articles. Manuscripts must demonstrate high scientific quality and relevance to integrative biology.
1. Manuscript Formats
- Original Research Articles: Full-length reports of novel findings (≤ 6,000 words).
- Review Articles: Critical overviews of recent advances (≤ 6,000 words).
- Short Communications: Brief reports of significant findings (≤ 3,000 words; max 4 figures/tables).
- Technical Reports: Descriptions of innovative methodologies (≤ 5,000 words).
- Perspective and Opinion Articles: Scholarly commentary on emerging topics (≤ 3,500 words).

Conflict of Interest
Authors must declare any financial or personal relationships that could influence the research or state explicitly that no conflicts exist.
Ethics Statements
- Human Research: Compliance with the Declaration of Helsinki and informed consent.
- Animal Research: Compliance with national and institutional guidelines.
- Data Sharing: Transparency regarding data availability and restrictions.
3. Referencing Style
The journal follows the Vancouver referencing style with numerical in-text citations and a numbered reference list.
4. Figures, Tables, and Formatting
- Figures: Minimum 300 dpi (.jpeg or .tiff)
- Tables: Editable format (Word/Excel)
- Manuscripts: Word (.doc/.docx) or LaTeX
5. Ethics and Plagiarism
All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software. Ethical misconduct and plagiarism are strictly prohibited.
6. Submission Process
Manuscripts should be submitted via the journal’s submission portal or by email to the Editor-in-Chief.
Publication Charges
No publication fees are charged for articles published in the initial volumes. From July 1, 2026, a fee of Rs. 6000 (India) or USD 200 (non-Indian authors) will apply. Articles accepted before July 1, 2026 will not incur any charges.
